Let's (finally) Give HBO some credit..

A few piff bouts aside (Cotto-Gomez (anyone see that happening any different going in?), upcoming DLH-Forbes)..

fact is, i've forgetten like 3-4 times in the last 2 weeks that Hopkins-Calzaghe is free on HBO and i don't have to spend $50 to see it... this is one of the best things i've gotten from HBO Boxing in awhile..

And i think there's actually a few more free HBO boxing shows scheduled after the DLH fight too..

finally someone at HBO got the memo.. (thank you Showtime, without you, i'm not sure this would've been possible, you got the ball rolling)

What happens sometimes in the UK is that the cable guys sell a fight to BBC or ITV two weeks or so after the fight date, do you get anything similar in the US??

Yeah none of these fights are expected to be great though. Casmayor-Kastidis was real good though. Last week's weren't bad either. Mosley-Judah shouldn't be PPV though.

Nah Id rather give Showtime the credit, when is the last time they even had a PPV. HBO is only showing Oscar free to get you to buy the Floyd fight, they expect him to knock out Forbes in spectacular fashion, like he did Mayorga so it can set up bigger things. HBO has a PPV just about every month, Showtime very rarely does and puts on arguably better fights.

Yeah mosely judah being ppv is trash. I would've thought tomorrows fight would be a pay fight and the former a free fight.
