I'm a quarter welsh as well apparently...

I've already made two threads one entiled "I wish Calzaghe would stop his quips" And "do you think Calzaghe will knock out Hopkins" I said no.

I just think the signs look bad for Calzaghe, and I don't want Warren to harp on about it, and some how relate Hatton to it.

I do want Calzaghe to win, just not with what it entails.

If i bet hopkins, either way I'll be happy.

how does brits feel about calzaghe having his welsh flag and anthem instead of the british for such an international affair. i know welsh , like the scots , consider themselves different and you guys speak a different language but still why not "god save the queen" and the "union jack"?

Hmm I can't say I'm that bothered, as not really his biggest devotee.

However he was trying to tap into the Hatton/ British market, and this kind of makes me think he should have gone with the Union Jack. As for National Anthem I think his own one is fine.

I think he can sing his anthem but surely has to sport the Union Jack upon entrance to the ring.

He won't though as he never has his whole career, and I think he's more aligned to that phony Italian heritage.

ALso I would have love it if Calzaghe sported a ST georges flag for the irony that would have been genius.

i think the st. georges flag would've been a great idea. too bad you're not one of his handlers. since he has italian heritage it's the flag of genoa and milan as well as the flag of england and flown by scotland and wales as well.

i think fighting in britain it's ok to use the welsh flag because the union jack will be flying as well but outside of britain he should use the flag for all of britain. but that's just my opinion.
