I always forget that Hopins is 6'1 and could have probably fought at much higher weights throughout his career. It makes his beating of guys like Oscar that much more of a joke.
Bernard Hopkins does not represent black people. He represents himself. Please, get off this forum and get a library card.

weigh ins are nothing to Hopkins, the one he had with Taylor was most intense one I think. Taylor was grilling and gabbing at hopkins. Joe just looks confidence and his normal self. I can't wait for this fight already.

I agree. Joe looked good and it was cool to see him laughing. The guy is no joke.

There was a scuffle at the winky wright one, wasnt there? It's brilliant.. the excitement only begins once you see the weigh-in! ... can't wait now..

Factually speaking, on both the conference posted on page 6 here, and the weigh in, Hopkins is very still, motionless, doesn't do or say much, pretty stone faced, or just plain stoned. Not like him.

Joe was laughing, smiling, flexing, and he walked over both times to Hopkins, raring to go.

He's absolutely relishing this. Good to see.

Can really see Bernard trying to get upper hand with a nasty last minute trick though, expect another low blow from him in the media tomorrow.

Bernard is one intimidating **** but he hasn't looked the best during the stare-downs right after the weigh-ins. I remember him looking like **** against Howard Eastman, he got stared down walked away, realized what happend and came back only to walk away again. Taylor looked more comfortable against him that in the Pavlik stare-down, and then he pulled that **** against Winky. He did good against Tarver though, that fight he had it won at the press conferences. Against JoeC, so so, I guess different people see different things.
The Howard Eastman stare was funny though.

ps: what's the longest staredown, it has to be Vitaly vs Rahman, 15 minutes!

Staredowns to me dont' mean anything 9 times out of 10. The only thing that means something is when that bell rings...

Bernards arms look really big. His biceps that is. Both men are in good shape.

I love how the Hopkins fans have been saying all week how Hopkins will get in Joe's head. Now the weigh in is over they are quick to dismiss it means anything.

Bernard looked stiff and nervous, while Calzaghe was loose and calm. I'm very happy with this weigh in.
