      Then again if you're getting your ass kicked by the harder worker it might be hard for the smarter man to think on what to do with all those punches at his face.

        i voted smarts but that ONLY applies if there is good training involved also...

        so they kind of go together...you can be the smartest person in the world but if you arent training properly for a fight you will lose. period.

        however we all know hopkins has been training well so i would say smarts win.



        as another person said take hatton v. floyd for example.

        hatton was the hard working fighter (just look back at those 24/7 shows...he was really out hustling mayweather in his workouts from what they showed.)

        however mayweather was by far the smarter fighter and look what happened during the fight...mayweather was landed at a ridiculously high rate and...well...you know the ending haha
