Calzaghes team rejected Jay Nady who was first choice and quite rightly too.

It just tells Refs they can handle a fight any way they want as the worst two big name referees (Cortez, Nady) keep getting big fights.

Whats wrong with Ortega, weeks or Bayliss? bit to fair for Goldenboy maybe.

You haven't even factored in the fact that they are both Joe C's! I see Joe C helping Joe C as much as he can.

Jesus Christ, when was the last time a referee was a big factor in a fight? Only Marquez fans are crying about that in his third fight with Vazquez.

What!? Huh? The referee really doesn't matter!??! Is that what you're saying? Way too reasonable for this site Dude, take that to some crazy mathematical think tank or something.

Jones v Ruiz, Marques v Barerra, Mayweather v Hatton, Eastman v Joppy

Just a few recent cases of either bias or plain incompitence.

Nady did mess with Barrera-Marquez a bit, but it didn't matter on the judges' cards anyway since two had Marquez winning by like 5 points.

Jones-Ruiz, don't give me that ****. Ruiz wasn't allowed to hold just like Hatton wasn't and they both got exposed by boxing masters Roy and Floyd. No referee bias at all there unless you're a Hatton fan who doesn't even realize the dude fights ILLEGALLY.

What happened in Eastman-Joppy that was so bad? All I remember is Eastman knocked Joppy down and lost or something like that.

Watch the first round 11 warnings to Ruiz two for good body shots two for hitting on the break after Jones repeatedly hit him on the break.

Jones v Ruiz 1st round was the worst case of bias ive ever seen.

I think Joe Cortez will be on his best behaviour come Saturday, he will have heard all the criticism from the Mayweather fight, he has no reason to like Hopkins either so I think we'll get a neutral piece of refereeing....maybe slightly leaning in favour of Joe to win over the British fans.

If he gives Joe undue grief I wouldn't want to be in Cortez's shoes should he ever be asked to referee future title fights in Britian.

If he applies the same rules in the Mayweather-Hatton fight, it should be equal.
