Years ago Bob Arum visited Ike in jail to see if he could help him out. Arum said Ike was the craziest person he had ever met and that no amount of money would be worth dealing with him.

ike was a very good prospect but i dont see how he can be favoured over a fighter of lenny's caliber. the 2 hilites of his career are wins over tua and bird. his fight with tua was very close, and could have went either way honestly. other than that his previous opposition was weak. either he was moved along slowly by his managers, or they felt he wouldnt show the same level of dominance against tougher guys than the once he steam rolled.
