Personally, I hope that Big Joe can beat the immature, imbecilic racist Hopkins (who claimed that in London the temperature was usually minus 25 centigrade!) and that he will not need excuses.

I just hope that a very tiny minority of overly drunken morons who happen to be British do not boo the glorious American national anthem, if is played of course.

If that happens then we could see yet more outrageously bad officiating against a British World Champion.

Not a hate thread.....we all know Hopkins can use the ''age caught up to me excuse'' but im curious as to what Calzaghes will be if he loses? Calzaghes pride is way too big to just accept the loss, there will be something he says.

I hope he doesn't use any excuses.

The posters on this forum will however. Here's a few I've got ready:
Hopkins fought dirty.
The officials were extremely biased.
He didn't lose. It was ROBBERY!
The crowd got to him.
Hopkins got 13 seconds to recover on both knockdowns.
Joe's cut wasn't as bad as Vitali's.

To be honest I don't think Joe would make a lot of excuses

It's going to be a very close fight so if Hopkins wins Joe would most likely say he thought he won the fight but the judges saw it differently or something like that. However Joe's dad Enzo is going to make TONS of excuses and blame pretty much everything and everybody if Hop wins. There's no way he'll accept a B-Hop victory.
