Contrary to ignorant belief it's mostly Floyd haters who make threads about him. I could care less boxing is boxing and whatever is here to discuss, I shall discuss.Comment

It was very impressive how well Floyd did that night.
The only problem was the level of skill had such a huge gap between the two, that it didn't even look like a real fight. It was beyond toying with someone, and I think people were disappointed because there was literally no reason that Floyd couldn't have mixed it up, and thrown a combo or two. I personally don't really care, I think Floyd should win any way he can, but that is why more than a few people were disappointed.
The P4P #1 potshotted his way to a decision against a fighter who looked worse than terrible that night. Basically Floyd didn't look as impressive as he should have with the talent gap is what people seemed to think.Comment

the fans have EVERY right to have acted the way they did. boxing is entertainment. its position as a PROFESSIONAL sport and BUSINESS depends on the fans who PAY to watch entertainment.
floyd haters? true, there are posters here with the agenda of hating, but come on. people making threads making it known that they arent happy with what Floyd is doing, writers doing articles making it known that they arent happy with what Floyd is doing, network analysts and commentators making it known on live tv that they arent happy with what Floyd is doing, ALL of these people are haters? you can feel this WAVE of discontent in the boxing world about whats going on and its more than just hate, its genuine dissatisfaction. Floyd can do what ever he wants. But as long as he's considered the P4P king, he will be expected to behave like it. It's part of the game.Last edited by 2501; 04-16-2008, 05:54 PM.Comment

I think Floyd knew he didn't need to get out of second gear, their was no need. Floyd doesn't take chances when he fights, which doesn't go down well with some fans. Hence the criticism for that performance, which is laughable really, he could have beaten Baldomir with one hand tied behind his back and crowd still wouldn't have been pleased so why should Floyd bother? It was very impressive how well Floyd did that night.
