    Boxing Best Champion

    David Haye (Mormeck KO)
    Bernard Hopkins (Tarver UD)
    Joe Calzaghe (Lacy UD)
    Kelly Pavlik (Taylor KO)
    Floyd Mayweather (Baldomir UD)
    Ricky Hatton (Tszyu KO)
    Joel Casamayor (Corrales SD)
    Manny Pacquiao (JM Marquez SD)
    Israel Vasquez (R Marquez SD)
    Ivan Calderon (Cavares SD)

From cruiserweight to jr flyweight these are the guys that have linear world titles, who they beat to get the title, and how they beat em. P4P who ya think is the most credible/impressive champ right now? BTW, the title winning fight is just an added side note, not the most important thing.

Learn about boxing before you come posting here mate.

Calzaghes title reign didn't start at Lacy.

Remember Eubank, yea the british superstar, Calzaghe UD'd him.

In case you didn't know I was talkin about the Ring magazine titles they have homey. I know Calzaghe has been WBO SMW champ forever, which is why he's my pick which I forgot to add in the original post. Undefeated and the most dominant champ of his division imo.

Eubank had been the RING champ since Steve Collins retired or should i say the recognised number one.

So Calzaghe got it when he beat Eubank, in 97 it was shallow Jones had moved up Benn, Collins retired.

There are some errors in the list. The linear boxing champions can be found here:

I know Eubank had been the recognized #1, but if my memory serves me right 168 never had a Ring champ until the two top guys who were Joe and Jeff unified in '06. Either way, Joe C's my pick cuz he's been the boss of his weight class for years, before and after he got the damn Ring belt. But one guy had a little sumthin else to say besides **** about Joe C so keep it comin.

Good reference check. As I pointed out before I was just talkin about current Ring beltholders but I'm glad educated fight fans are voicing their opinion to fine tune the champ list. So we're all clear here, to hell with just Ring belts. If you're postin pick anybody you want that has a title, just back up your pick with a lil sumthin other than them just bein your favorite fighter.

Joe Calzaghe is boxing's best champion. Israel Vasquez, Kelly Pavlik, Manny Pacquiao, and Ivan Calderon and David Haye are good champions too.

The worst are Floyd Mayweather (ducks the best welterweights), Ricky Hatton (gets fat between fights, ducks Witter), and Joel Casamayor (lost to Santa Cruz, won't fight Campbell).
