      I don't think it matters much at all either, just figured Joe would like the larger ring since he moves around a lot and seems to use all of the ring. I don't see Joe as being the aggressor and the "come forward" fighter for the majority of the fight, but that's just my opinion.

        Joe loves it when guys come to him should that happen Hopkins with his pride could take an almighty beating.

        Calzaghe isnt the greatest pushing the fight and Hopkins is awful pushing the fight they will know this. Hopkins will back off - his strength, Calzaghe will close - his weakness.

          Hopkins likes to get out the way and set the pace so he needs a big ring for that.

            I am no expert and i havent seen that many Hopkins fights i have come to boxing fairly late you could say.

            But whenever i have seen guys with good feet the seem to better in a small ring, no i have no real proof or explination other than perhaps a smaller ring would be tighter so better foot work would be more advantageous.
