I think Clottey deserves a spot on the poll.

Judah also deserves a spot, even if he losses important fights, he has a lot of talent.

I picked mosley as the linear best welter of our time. oscar had the best welterweight resume overall but mosley beat welter oscar twice so mosley is the best of our time as far as accomplishments go IMO.

and I'm talking about prime accomplishments cuz I know that cotto beat mosley but mosley was way past his prime so I don't really count that.

Forrest would be my actual pick if he was on the list cuz he beat prime welter mosley twice and he was the first to do so.

If you have De La Hoya, then why not Tito?

the logical answer is mayweather imo because he has not lost but mosley can be picked also imo over floyd and i would not argue it at all, trinidad is up there also plus floyd the better resume than cotto does imo, and mosley openly ducked floyd, oscar lost to floyd at 154(but imo, he lost to a ww in floyd), and lost to trinidad, mosley twice, he may have the best resume out of everybody, but mosley beat him and vargas, but lost to cotto, past prime or not, he lost in a close battle. floyd has beaten the wbc champion and the ibf champion, lineal or not, if we're going off of numbers, the most logical pick is floyd, and cotto can be 2nd imo, going off of numbers and wins. but, it wasn't specified in the title, so i factored in skill level also, and floyd's skillset is the greatest of his generation, as far as all around fighter, no competition, floyd is the best ww in the skill department. oscar comes next imo followed by judah and then mosley, then trinidad and i put oscar over judah because although judah was more elusive, oscar used his tools better imo and has only been knocked out once in his career, and he beat whitaker, out of his prime or not, he beat him in a close and controversial fight. he beat chavez also. skillwise, judah was more elusive, oscar uses his skills better, much smarter fighter.

so, there you have it. i feel you can argue for cotto, floyd oscar, trinidad and mosley. i see it like floyd, cotto, mosley, oscar, trinidad. i factored in everything though. this was tough and by no means is it set in stone.

well, the question was who is the best of our time and dlh did fight at welter in our time which I'm presuming is the last decade or so. and you're right about tito not being on the list but its pretty clear that the thread starter doesn't know much about boxing from the choices in the poll.

I think this will inevitably turn into the "Who has more fans in boxingscene, Cotto or Mayweather?" poll.

Tito's welterweight resume was solid. His losses were to bigger guys.

He should be on the list.
