There's Countless Reasons To Pick Calzaghe

Its Hard To Pick Against Nard

On paper, everything points to Joe Calzaghe taking out Bernard Hopkins when they meet on April 19. Hopkins, though, has made a career of tearing up the scripts.

There are countless reasons to pick Joe Calzaghe to defeat Bernard Hopkins in their light heavyweight championship fight on Saturday night. But there's also one very compelling reason to pick Hopkins: because to do otherwise would require picking against Hopkins.
Ridiculous. This is biased journalism at its very best. Bernard has recently demonstrated against Taylor exactly how he can lose. Even if he has beaten the odds countless times, he has still lost.

Joe Calzaghe has never lost in his pro career! By the logic of this article it should be impossible to pick against him!

^^did you read the article? Because it goes on and makes those same points (hop losing to taylor twice, calzaghe not losing since ameratures when he was a kid)

The brits firmly think Calzaghe will win, Americans Hopkins.

Its normal bias writing pre fight it means nothing, what gets me is when reputable writers, casters show nationalistic bias.

Of course I did. It still says it hard to pick against Bernard though. Maybe I was a bit too vociferous in my condemnation. I admit it.

Well right, that was the point - it's hard to pick against Hopkins, even though all logical reasons point to Calzaghe winning this fight. Not sure what's so bad about that, Hopkins has defied many odds over the years.
