An idea how to get Hatton in the future hof!

Take a leaf out of Bernard Hopkins book, fight Pacquaio then JMM.

I mean Hopkins beat guys coming up two weight who had only one fight at the weight before fighting him.

Surely good enough for Hopkins it must be for Hatton.

    What you think?

Hatton is a kind of strange boxer IMO. At 140 he is a monster, usually bigger and stronger than his opponents and able to bully them all day long. At 147, he is basically a runt, and has looked average and even in danger of losing every time he fights at the weight. I don't understand how the difference manages to be so huge, although you could argue that a lot of the best welters now are close to being weight drained middleweights. Hatton I suppose is what he is, a natural, inflexible 140 fighter.

Since it would only be a drop of 5 pounds, I think he would have been far better served in his career had he seen himself as a 135 to 140 fighter instead of 140 to 147. At lightweight he would be awesome. Sadly we all know Hatton's eating and drinking habits, and I guess walking around at 180 made him feel he would be comfortable at the higher weight. Oh yeah...and the money too.

I take it you don't like Hopkins. But Hatton can establish himself as a great fighter by dominating his own weight class. There ain't a lot of big names at 140 right now but there are some good ones, namely Witter. And even though 147 is where the $ is Hatton just can't hang there.
