Was Julio Cesar Chavez' sparring partner for 5-10 years? Maybe before he became pro or something. I dont know. Thats what someone told me.

I told him that Cotto v Margs would be a good fight. He said that Margs will knock him out. I said Im not sure because of Cotto's body work.

He responded - " Margs was J C Chavez sparring partner for like 10 years before he was pro, of course he can take it to the body"

I think he was Oscar sparring partner. Jose luis Castillo was Chavez's sparring partner.

Yeah he was DLH They had to take Margarito outta the ring in the sparring sessions and be sent away because he would hurt Oscar to the body all the time so they would just send him away .

I've read that he only sparred DLH once. he put it on him and was asked to leave. If you search the net you can find the interview where Tony talks about it. He said DLH's people had all of these rules in sparring so DLH wouldnt get hurt. On the other hand, DLH was going all out against Tony. Tony turned it up and was asked to leave.
