what are the biggest problems when scoring fights

what are the biggest problems when scoring fights ? obviously there are many many reasons why it is so subjective

when i watched the Dawson fight numerically i thought he won because he won more rounds over the coarse of 12 ,but u can alley to that the fact that Dawson was the one who took more punishment than Glen Johnson & Johnson forced the fight throughout and finished the fight strongly ,i mean Glen Johnson was hurting Chad not once did i see Glen Johnson remotely staggered by anything Dawson was throwing

Dawson was looking for the final bell throughout while Glen Johnson was trying to walk him down and Hammer him throughout

The biggest problem with scoring fights usually come down to what the scorer favors. Quantity or quality. What's worth more, 3 consecutive landed sharp 1,2's by Boxer A, or one hellacious 1, 2 from Boxer B that knocks him back into the ropes.

The second big problem is that the actual scoring criteria is often ignored. Despite was the idiot Harold Lederman says, Defense, and ring generalship DO count towards winning a round.

i thought Hopkins finished very strongly against Taylor in the 1st fight but no matter how strongly he finished ,numerically he had lost more rounds even though when u watch the latter part of the fight it is Hopkins dishing out all the hurt not vice versa

i think Oscar beat Shane in the 2nd fight personally but there is not doubt about it Shane finished the stronger while Oscar faded bigger time down the stretch but numerically i still thought he had won at least 6 rounds to at least get a draw if not the win

the other side of the coin is numerically i thought Quartey beat Oscar but Oscars big finish sealed the deal for him much how it did for Mosley against Oscar in thier second fight
