Call me crazy, but I think Floyd would rather fight Cotto than Tony any day of the week. I really don't know why since Cotto seems to have more tools to somehow "beat" Floyd. Maybe Floyd is really scared of Margarito lol, who knows man.

Marg lost his right to call out Floyd when he lost to Williams. Being that Cotto is the number one guy in the division and is fighting ANTONIO MARGARITO next.... then if MARG can pull put the W ..he will be the #1 guy and rightfully can cahllenge Floyd..

I read your recent mailbag and I got really irritated when you said "Mayweather would have no reason to fight Margarito if he beat Cotto because of Margarito's loss to Paul Williams" .What does Margarito have to do to deserve a fight with Gayweather? Yes, he lost a close fight to williams, but beating Cotto, the No1 welterweight in the world, would certainly redeem that loss. (Mayweather is the best P4P but he didnt prove that he is the best welterweight). Remember you are the same guy who keeps lobbying for a Wright/Pavlik fight. The same Winky Wright who just lost his last fight against Hopkins. By your logic, Winky doesnt deserve a fight against the undefeated Pavlik because he lost to a scrub like Vargas. If a Wright vs. Pavlik fight is the best fight at middleweight then a Mayweather vs. Margarito fight (should he beat Cotto) would be the best fight at welterweight. You really are a hypocrite. And it's quite obvious you are only lobbying for the interests of fighters who grant you exclusive interviews. Because you can't write for ****, and without the interviews your website is nothing.

Leon's Response: I'm sure Mayweather would look at a Margarito victory and say, cool, I told you Cotto wasn't nothing and let him avenge his loss to Paul Williams before you talk to me about him. Or how am I going to fight somebody who lost three or four fights ago? Or, who was Kermit Cintron? In other words, it won't happen and it shouldn't, Margarito beating Cotto wouldn't give him the same marketability that Cotto would have going into a Mayweather fight following wins over Mosley, Judah and Margarito. Cotto would be Margarito's first marquee name. His victories over Clottey and Cintron all stand out, but the Clottey decision was iffy and both Cintron fights were over as soon as Kermit realized he couldn't hurt him with one punch. Also, I don't think Margarito beating Cotto would automatically make him the clear #1 to PBF. Would the same have held true had Gomez defeated Cotto
