Enzo Calzaghe has described Bernard Hopkins as a ‘*****cat’ in an interview with Setanta Sports News.

Hopkins has been his usual outspoken self in the build-up to the light-heavyweight contest, but the mind-games are not fazing the Calzaghe camp.
”He is a cheshire cat,” Calzaghe senior told Setanta Sports News. “Lurking around to steal the milk. He has stolen the milk all the time and he knows how to do it.


“He is a *****cat.”
Calzaghe’s methods have been described as unorthodox, but he is unlikely to change his style having guided three fighters to world titles from his Newbridge gym.
Giving an insight into his nature, Calzaghe added: “Boxing is like music, there are seven chords in music: A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
"If everybody repeats the same chords, you will have the same melodies. The same applies to boxing, you only have seven punches.
”You can only do what your hands can do. If the shot is there, throw it.
”The only thing I have got is my mind, I am very gifted about every single move and everything that boxers go through from A to Z.
”It’s a gift, I can’t explain it.”
Joe Calzaghe is in no doubt that his father has played a key part in guiding him to an unbeaten record of 44-0.
”He has done everything in my career,” said Joe Calzaghe. “He taught me the basics as a teenager and kept me on the straight and narrow.
”I have always said he is a great trainer and has never had the respect. People say he has never boxed and this and that, but from a little gym in the South Wales valleys to have three world champions and four other potential champions is because he is a great trainer.”
