    Joe doesn't duck.

    QUOTE]

I'm not saying he ducks... I'm just saying he's responsible for his own career. The big fights never happened. That is, at least partially, his fault.

I'm not hating on Calzaghe's skills. There's nothing about him that would lead me to believe he wasn't a great fighter. I think he'll probably win on Saturday, I just think that we have been robbed of alot of great fights and "treated" to the likes of Bika's, Manfredo's and a long list of other chumps... sort of like you're seeing now with Pavlik.

Why can't anything be discussed here rationally?

It's all retrospective though isn't it?

Johnson would not have proved greatness I sincerely doubt.

Retrospective? Johnson or Manfredo? Retrospective? Are you kidding? Tell me who thought at anytime since the advent of the roman calendar that Manfredo was a better fighter than Johnson? Retrospective? Ha!

No. Johnson would not have proved greatness. But, it would probably be a fight I could pop into my DVD player and say... wow... that was a great performance against a solid opponent.

I mean... **** it. Why do you make excuses for these guys? Wouldn't you have loved to see and RJJ v. Calzaghe or a Wright or a B-HOP (5 years ago) or even Clinton Woods or Taylor...

Jesus Christ... I'm a huge Pavlik fan and I can't tell you how fustrated I am that he's probably not going to fight anyone threatening until at least the winter. It's depressing. I hope that five years from now and 20 defenses later I'm searching through Pavlik's resume for a Jeff Lacy

retrospective in that the Johnson fight looks more or less appealing at certain times.

But, my point is... at Johnson's worst he looks better than more than half the guys Calzaghe has defended his title against.

Funny how these ''offers'' were never made public, thats how it usually works.

Joe would've milked it to the press big time if Roy ever knocked him back, you know it i know it.

              Ya telling porkies mate.
