Is Antonio Margarito A Credible Win For Miguel Cotto?

I don't consider Margarito a "tuneup" fight by any means. There are some that say that Margarito wouldnt be able to hold Hatton's jockstrap. There are some that say that Margarito wouldnt stand a CHANCE against Oscar De La Hoya and would most likely get KNOCKED OUT. And not the Oscar of the 1990's either, but the Oscar of today. There are even some saying that Margarito might as well even be a tune up for Miguel Cotto and that he should be criticized for taking an easy fight again. So what do you all think?
almost any fighter (especially at this level in the sport) that uses 1200+ punches a fight is NOT an easy fight.
its one thing if they punch that much and are 7-0 against guys making their pro debuts...
its another when they are at this level in the sport.
he gives cotto problems no doubt. i think he gives almost any fighter problems (the same way williams does at welterweight for being so freakishly tall and big for the weight class with the exception of the quintana fight...thats williams fault for not using that advantage...because if he did quintana would have had problems with him as well).
so i dont think its some walk in the park for cotto. infact i think its going to potentially be a "GREAT" (i dont overuse this word) fight that has all the makings of fight of the year.
how often are potential "fights of the year" bouts tune up fights?
think about it.
its going to be a very good fight at the least.Comment
