what if: Duran vs. Margarito @ 147?

hands of stone or Tijuana tornado ??
remember, margarito has the size advantage here, and duran came from lightweight.

    Duran:
    5′ 7″
    66“ reach

    Margarito:
    5′ 11″
    73“ reach

wow, looking at duran's boxrec, his first couple fights he was 119lbs.
how many weightclasses did he jump up? damn

who agrees that this would be a true war? duran's ability to handle bigger guys, his style, then there's marg's chin, and his style.

Duran fought up to Super Middle..
None of the welters of today or lightweight could beat Duran imo.

what kind of thread is this.. Don't you know that Margarito is invincible? A heart of gold and balls of steel ring a bell? I mean.. just yesterday he beat someone he already beat. What more proof do you need?

Duran would kick everyones ass today from 140-154 back to back in one day. Maybe, just maybe Floyd might be able to outbox him ala Sugar Ray 2.

sorry, i just love the way marg fights. and i'm a cintron fan, was really hoping he would win the rematch.

but imo, duran's ability to hold his own against bigger guys, and his own skills, matched against the big welterweight margarito, with his chin and offense, would provide a truly exciting fight.

in a 15 round fight, i'd go with duran UD 9 rounds to 6
12 rounds, duran UD 7 rounds to 5
