    WHere's the PROMOTION for HOPKINS-CALZAGHE???

The only ones doing anything to promote this fight are the fighters and their bad blood...

I havent seen or heard of anything otherwise.

This fight is really struggling to get those tickets out there. Not sold out yet somehow

You posting this three straight times may help.

Its not on PPV so the guys are probably more concerned about training rather than being out and about promoting a fight that people are going to watch regardless since they dont have to order it. Another thing is Calzaghe isnt really a name over here, so its not like seeing Calzaghe's face everywhere is going to gain interest.

well i think the fighters are doing a great job personally.

Its the PROMOTERS i have a problem with. Shouldn't they be out there promoting the fight? isnt that kinda in the job title...

I find it a little surprising.

You think this would be a legacy fight.

Hop-Wright didn't do that well and neither did Kessler-Calzaghe in the US.

It's fans like us that are going to make it something.

I thought Cal has a bunch of fans. Won't a lot be coming over?

              Or no?

Why spend money on promotion, when there is going to be no kick back?, you have to think business. Its a big fight just because the names, why would golden boy spend millions of dollars promoting a fight thats going to be seen for free.

It's a ~20,000 seater. Not one fight in recent memory (doesn't include FLoyd-Hatton and DLH) could sell this in the US. Also the tickets are extremly expensive (250$ for the cheapest one).

Over 9000 fans will come from the UK. This is incredbile. Floyd MAyweather was p4p 1 and before DLH he couldn't sell 9K tickets in his hometown. Calzaghe has a huge, huge fanbase.

I see posters all over New York but I think more could and should have been done.
