    WHere's the PROMOTION for HOPKINS-CALZAGHE???

The only ones doing anything to promote this fight are the fighters and their bad blood...

I havent seen or heard of anything otherwise.

This fight is really struggling to get those tickets out there. Not sold out yet somehow

HBO dropped the ball on this one.

Calzaghe's not extremely known here in the States, so he doesn't have that name recognition that Hopkins does unless you follow the sport.

HBO has dogged Hopkins his entire career, especially in the most recent years talking of how "boring" he is and how old he is. So casual fans who aren't fans of Hopkins probably don't care to see him in action either.

You'd figure the greatest Supper Middleweight of all time who's undefeated with 21 consecutive title defenses, taking on the greatest Middleweight of the last 20 years with 20 consecutive title defenses who's now the top Light Heavyweight in the world for the Light Heavyweight title would be advertised somewhere.......

I didn't see much promotion for Cotto/Gomez either.

yea its a shame. I think part of the problem is u have these older promoters like Bob Arum and Richard Shaefer who are clueless to these new technologies and ways of promoting a fight.

If you wanna see PICTURE PERFECT promotion, take a look at this movie called JUNO. Wow, that movie was EVERYWHERE on the internet, and it grossed a MASSIVE 140 million for a small time project.

The people who promoted that movie are going to be in business for a loooooooong time

We need new everything in boxing. We have great fighters and dozens of amazing matchups every year, but I'd like to see the deck reshuffled in terms of promotion, management, and especially judges. I don't think guys like Duane Ford and Jerry Roth are what's best for the sport right now, as it's peaking at an economic rate.

It's a ~20,000 seater. Not one fight in recent memory (doesn't include FLoyd-Hatton and DLH) could sell this in the US. Also the tickets are extremly expensive (250$ for the cheapest one).

They've ran their mouths enough that they don't need hype. The fight is big enough to sell itself.
