Israel Vazquez-Marquez IV in the works?

Vazquez' Manager Frank Espinoza Shares the Latest

It what has become arguably the best trilogy in the history of boxing, fans are still talking about the possibility of Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez doing it again after their third fight last month. I spoke with Vazquez’ manager, the classy Frank Espinoza recently to get the latest on Vazquez-Marquez IV. “It’s not about the money right now,” said Espinoza. “Barrera and Morales didn’t fight each other back-to-back-to-back. I feel that Israel deserves a good rest and to look for another fight. Down the line, we could fight Marquez again.” However, Espinoza is a business man, and as they say in the boxing biz: If it makes dollars, than it makes sense. “If the money is so good that we can’t pass it up, then we’ll fight Marquez next,” said Espinoza. “But it’s got to be on Pay-Per-View.” Espinoza concluded by stating, “Israel is in a great position right now. We don’t necessarily have to go right back in there with Marquez. I think we’re looking to get him another fight, and that is not against Marquez right now.”

dont really see the point in a 4th other than to see good fighting. but these 2 dudes have already given more than they needed too. say if Rafa were to win, would that mean a 5th fight? when is enough enough? i think 3 fights is enough and the better man won. i would like to see Izzy in the ring with someone else now.

As tremendous as the first three were... I think that most people get the feeling that Vazquez definately has a clear advantage over Marquez after 3 fights. If Vazquez were to win the fourth, it might take away from the competitive luster that the first three fights did.

I'm just worried that a fourth fight could hurt how incredible the first three were.

Same here. I would definitely watch a fourth fight, but I would rather see both of them move on and fight different fighters.

I dont want this fight to happen again. They both get hit way too much. I would rather them fight other people and extend their careers a little bit. I think we already know what would happen if they fought again anyhow.

Vazquez owns Marquez, it's as simple as that. Marquez is an amazingly talented fighter who did a lot of great work in their 3 fights, but when Vazquez starts ripping that left hook Marquez has no answer.

I think a 4th fight would tarnish the previous 3. I'd like to see Vazquez and Marquez fight somebody other than each other now.

Unfortunately in this sport money talks, and neither man can make as much bank as they could for a 4th match with each other. I see it landing on Showtime Championship Boxing in August.

I'd rather see them fight other fighters.. maybe down the line in a year or two have the fourth but these two fighting each other is getting too repetetive.
