Great weekend of boxing all around. I was very happy that Hbo did not ruin the the Showtime card by saying the results. I remember when they said Calzaghe beat Lacy and Cotto beat Quintana, bad move on Hbo's part.
1. It was odd that Cintron had a segment piece before the fight with Margarito. After all , Margarito beat Cintron before.
2. Cintron is not mentally strong. I saw Cintron who when it got tuff, would look for the Ref's help. He has not gottten over the 1st fight and this just made it worse.
3. Margarito showed an iron chin and better initiative in this fight. He should great composure when under attack and never left his game plan.
4. Cotto is showing much improved hand speed. Gomez was in essence a sparring session, but Cotto is way faster than he ever was in 140 division.
5. With Cotto and Margarito fighting each other, there are 2 winners. The fans as was stated by Lampley and FLOYD MAyweather. Floyd wins because with these 2 guys fighting each other, one of them will get knocked off , then Floyd will never have to face one of these fighters. In the process of these 2 guys fighting, 1 true contender and challenge to Floyd will be eliminated without floyd even having to lace up the gloves.
6. Tarver is just content with going 12rds and not taking a risk in a fight. Dawson will never give Johnson a rematch.
7. Hopkins will get **** for wearing fishnet t -shirt on the build up for Cal-Hopkins.
