Margarito might throw many punches but that doesn't mean **** if he's facing an opponent who isn't stationary. His punches look slow. It looked good against Cintron who's defense sucks and couldn't box and move. I see Cotto part boxing and part trading with Margarito on his way to a decision.

Yeah I think Cotto is faster for sure and has good movement but I feel he will want to prove himself and go toe to toe at times with Marg and thats why I think this fight will be so exciting. Man I cant wait for this fight.

If Margarito wins the only way I could see it is by KO or stoppage. I think it'd be smart for him to make it a brawl. Its hard to hit Cotto clean now though(keeps his gloves high) but he still gets caught with uppercuts. Judah caught him with some and so did Gomez. I wouldn't wanna take an uppercut from Margarito lol. Cotto has to box and move good IMO. I don't think Margarito will fold Cotto's been close.

IMO Margarito can be outboxed and made to look bad. This was done already by Clottey first 4 rounds before his unfortunate hand injury. Cotto overall is a much better fighter than Clottey. If Cotto maintains discipline and boxes all night and doesn't allow himself to be ****** under the crazy atmosphere of MSG I see this as a competitive, hardfought but clear cut UD. My whole rationale behind this if Clottey could do it than Cotto definitely can as well. I have to watch Clottey vs Marg again to get a better feel for this fight but Clottey IMO gave the blueprint on how to beat the most feared man in boxing. In terms of talent and skills Cotto has faced better opponents in the past. What makes this fight interesting is that this will be the biggest, strongest opponent he has faced with a style that if it's imposed on Cotto, smart money is on Cotto getting hurt and hurt bad. I just think Cotto's boxing abilities and big difference in handspeed won't allow Marg his fight and will be his key to victory.

Only way I see Cotto winning this fight as of now is if he stays outside, uses his jab and counters Tony's shots when available...

I see Cotto doing that for the first couple, maybe 3 rounds, but he will then just brawl Tony. Think his pride will get in the way. Announcer b4 the fight will say to the crowd that we will find out who is "Mas Macho"

and in the end we will

I can remember Mohammed Abdulaev putting alot of pressure on Cotto... As far as someone just like Tony, nobody comes to mind. On the other hand I think it's even more difficult to think of a fighter alike Cotto that Margarito has faced.
