    Still not sold on Margarito

    Im a fan of him but i just dont see him beating a top notch guy. People clamor over his workrate but if you watch closely half the punches have nothing on them, and his feet are even set properly. He does have power but not one punch power.

    His pressure is good but only against someone who can't keep their cool.

    I see cotto handling him actually easier then most people think.
    Cotto is faster, smarter, stronger mentally and his overall abilities are superior then Tony's.

    Plus the size advantage plays into cotto's counterpuching abilitiy

    Cotto 9 rounds to 3

    you have to rememer that margarito doesn't seem to fade down the way he is fighting and in order for cotto to win he has to knock him out flat on his back which i don't see that happening;
    he is slow and is not balanced, it's ok but the work-rate round after round,
    it would on take mayweather to be able to handle that on defense mode all night and that's not gonna help at all......cotto's chin is not that good, and if you noticed cotto's lip after the gomez's fight he was cut and gomez didn't throw much imagine what margarito would do.....

        it's like slow motion watching him. I couldn't believe how long the punches would travel in that Cintron fight. I got up and made a sandwich before one of those long right hands landed. dude has no chance against a guy with speed.

          yo, your sig is too ****in big

          anyway, what do you need to be sold on? its not like your buying property and ****. what you see is what you get. he may not be able to beat a mayweather or a cotto or even a clottey, but the man comes to fight and thats very respectable.

            Even if it is true that half his punches have nothing on them, then he still is throwing over 50 hard punches a round. Cotto is technically superior, but I don't know how you can say he is any stronger mentally. And if he doesn't have one punch power, how did he score a one punch KO on Saturday?

                He is what he is. His 2 biggest victories were over Kermit Cintron. Thats not saying a lot. He loss to Paul Williams & Daniel Santos & has a total of 5 losses.

                  Agreed.

                  No way Marg lands a good number of punches against Mayweather. And Mayweather doesnt exactly just stand there right in front of his opponent.
