Campbell has labelled Amir Khan as a "big fraud"

New world lightweight champion Nate Campbell has labelled Amir Khan as a "big fraud" and insists he would relish the opportunity to fight the young British hopeful as soon as possible.

Cambell was in the crowd in Tampa Bay to watch the weekend's light-heavyweight double-header, and the 36-year-old revealed he is less than impressed with Khan's credentials after he recently became Britain's youngest world champion.

However, the Khan camp will be delighted after Campbell - who ousted the WBA, WBO and IBF titles from Juan Diaz in a stunning upset last month - expressed an interest in facing the Bolton-born 21-year-old.

Campbell, said: "Amir can come and get it any time. I'd make that fight tonight. I've got no problems coming to England but it's worth a lot of money. If they make us happy we're on the first plane.

"Amir has plenty of talent but he's not ready for me. But the only way he can show the world he is not a big fraud is by taking me on. I hope Khan is ****** enough not to be afraid."

    Pole position

Khan was made the WBO's number one contender after his win over Martin Kristjansen on April 5.

The seventh round stoppage against the Dane has left Khan in pole position for a title showdown after interim champion Joel Casamayor distanced himself from a fight with Campbell.

The fighter known as the 'Galaxxy Warrior' continued his verbal assault on Khan in a scathing analysis of Khan's recent conquests.

Campbell said: "Who's Khan fought? Willie Limond, who couldn't even punch and almost knocked him out. The last guy couldn't have knocked him down with a hammer.

"So what's going to happen when he fights a guy like me? I can do anything there is to do in the ring.

"I haven't been hurt in my whole career. So I'm not worried about Amir Khan. I'm only worried about how much they're going to pay me."
    Lets get it on!

Campbell would destroy the overly arrogant Khan.

Khan is not a World Champion.

He isn't even the Champion of Britain.

Most of what Campbell says is right on the money. He'd be a huge challenge for Khan. I was very impressed by Khan's performance in his last fight, even if a lot of people weren't, I thought he showed some real intelligence in the way he handled the fight after not being able to blow Kristjansen away early. Still, Khan has only faced feather fists and Campbell would be something else.

I'm still waiting to see if Khan can produce genuine KO power, and to see his chin tested again. If he could take Campbell's power or at least improve his defence so as not to get hit, then I think it would be a Khan decision, otherwise it could be good night.

Still, why not get it on?

Khan is still a bit green, but he does have the power to crack Campbell's chin.

                  I stand corrected

And I hate it when they do that.

****ing Khan couldn't win a raffle.
