BERNARD HOPKINS has earned a multi-million dollar fortune from boxing — but he still watches the pennies when out shopping.
Hopkins, who faces undefeated Welshman Joe Calzaghe on Saturday, said: "At the age of 43, I've done well with my money because I made great investments.
"I have property but I'm still a coupon clipping guy. I've still got a Costco discount card in my wallet."
Hopkins insists he will be flying the flag for all 40-somethings when he takes on Calzaghe, nine years his junior, at the Thomas and Mack Centre in Las Vegas.
He added: "This fight ain't about buying another car or another house.
"This ain't about a payday. I'm in it to inspire others by showing that being your 40s is not a death sentence."
