Margarito is, and always will be, the worst matchup for cintron at welterweight. I think cintron beats williams, quintana, judah, and collazo.

I think he would beat berto, as well, since berto does not really use much defense.

Cintron looked good against marg when he boxed, but i just didnt understand why he kept going inside with marg. it's not that marg forced him to do it, he went willingly. steward seemed to be fine with that strategy as well...? i just didnt understand their gameplan going into this fight. why are you going to go inside with one of the fiercest inside fighters and smother your power, arguably the best power at that weight class?

PLAYBOY I KNOW YOUR A CINTRON FAN, BUT HE ISNT A TOP WELTERWEIGHT. HE HAS NO UPSIDE, HE IS AT HIS BEST RIGHT NOW.

AND YOU SAY BERTO DOESNT USE MUCH DEFENSE, **** CINTRON DOESNT USE ANY AT ALL.

Cintron should venture up to 154. He looked emaciated and sickly this past weekend. 147 is not his division.

There are no major players at 154. I'm pretty confident that he can beat Verno Phillips. Matter of fact, that would be an excellent test for him.

After that he should fight Mayorga and if he gets past Mayorga, challenge Vernon Forest.

If that doesn't work for him then MMA is calling...

          And if that isn't working.....UPS.

He would do a good in MMA.. He has some punishing shots and all he needs to do is better his ground game..He could be a force to rekon with... He would be a brutal striker whenever he keeps the fight on standing up.

yeah but who says that he's even on that level? I mean seriously, what has he ever really done? I would easily pick a prime Veron Phillips over him. He's struggled with alot of C- type fighters

The thing about Cintron is that he's only lost to one guy. Most of the time in boxing everyone has their Kryptonite, the one guy that just has their number for whatever reasons.

I think Cintron should go back to the drawing board, try to improve his boxing and see how he does against some other guys. If he does poorly, then maybe think MMA. But seriously, he's lost to one guy and he really hasn't been tested that much other than Margarito. So we should all wait and see how he matches up against other guys before saying he sucks and should retire from boxing.

true but like you said, the only good guy he fought was Margarito. The big problem is not that he lost to him. If he just lost to him twice then what you say could be right. Oscar lost to Shane twice, Hopkins lost to Taylor twice, and so on. The difference is that Cintron got slaughtered twice. That is not a kyrptonite type thing. Thats more then someone having your number. He cant even go 6 rounds with the guy. Margarito is a very good fighter but no other good fighter would get slaughtered by him, let alone twice

The problem with Cintron is that he gets flustered when he gets hit. He totally loses focus and truly doesn't know what to do. Every single round against Margarito he would begin by boxing and kicking Margo's ass until he got hit, when he got hit he would freeze and stop in front of Margarito and just take a beating.

If he choses to continue boxing he really needs to work on the mental aspect in his game. A good fight for him would be to fight Gomez just to see where he stands right now.

man, was i off on this one. cintron cintron cintron !
i gave leeway to manny with wimp klitschko and dim taylor. but now.
                      no more.
cintrons too dangerous to be a tuneup for the elite and for bright prospects.
maybe go to europe or mexico and get some kind of intercontinental or british commonwealth type hoaky belt to get back in contention.
