Although I desperately want to see this fight and will cuss Mayweather out until he signs the contract to make it official, a lot of people are overlooking one thing...Mayweather is superior to Cotto...and Cotto would not win. Mayweather has too much for him, speed, power, accuracy, defence, stamina. If Shane Mosley can run Cotto so close as to lose by one round, and almost have Cotto out on his feet in fact in the twelfth, then Mayweather would do serious damage. You look at both of their fights and its almost glaringly obvious. Mayweather is still No. 1, he is not making any fans by entertaining the idea of a Hatton rematch, and making the Oscar rematch purely for monetary reasons, but you can't deny his skills, and there's no welterweight out there who can beat him. I want to see him fght Cotto because Miguel is the no. 2 in the division and has earned his shot
Mayweather knows exactly what he's doing by ducking Miguel Cotto

Well lets have Cotto/Margarito first then we can talk about the Mayweather fight after he gets done with Oscar, I dont care what happens but if he doesnt fight the Cotto/Margarito winner(Thats if the winner wants it) then he shouldnt be given anymore airtime.Comment

At this point, Bob's not really saying what he knows is going on behind the scenes with Floyd. He's just saying what will cause controversy and sell the fights.
It should be obvious that Floyd is thinking like Bob himself. He's just waiting for any of those fighters, including Cotto and Marg to blow up so big moneywise that it would be insane not to fight them.
Bob thinks big; Floyd is thinking bigger.

At this point in PBF's career, I dont think hes too concerned about his reputation. He's already reached his peak and is probably more concered about what he has to do to get more $$$$ than boxing. I mean yeah, the De la Hoya fight is useless, but this is why hes doing things like wrestling the big show, and making rap sogns with 50 cent for "philthy rich records". It's JMO, but I think that floyd's more concered about what will make him more money than boxing.Comment

Mayweather reminds me of a Hyena. He does not go for the healthy kills himself, but lays in wait for an Older Lame animal to come along. He will also settle for smaller unsteady animals, that were previously injured some time earlier.
Hyena's are strong opportunist animals. They are survivors and great scavengers. Their bark is annoying, but they do have a stong bite when cornered.Comment

That's how you know some of the kids in here are Floyd fans not boxing fans. Floyd is one of the FEW fighters who openly mouths off and pops **** whenever a microphone is put in front of him. These newbies and young bucks think that's how the **** is always supposed to go. LMFAO. ******s I tell you.Comment

Even I side with Floyd haters when they say Floyd should've fought the best of his era, and that would be/would've been great.
But as it's been pointed out before, Floyd was in a position where the fighters he wanted to fight during 90's didn't want to fight him or their managers or promoters didn't want to risk their fighter that early in their careers.
Also doesn't help that Floyd makes winning look easy. A testament to his superb, year-round conditioning and his incredible skills.

Arum is a ****ing moron, it wasnt so long ago he was claiming mayweather was the best since ali, now he implies cotto and margarito are on that level.
Plus the bit where he talks about mayweather de la hoya 2 as a nonsenical fight, but he rushed cotto into that massive fight against ALFONSO GOMEZ.
