i think mosley would have just enough left in the tank to win a decision.

he certainly wont fight margarito on the inside in a brawl.

he will outbox him and mosley is by far a better boxer and counterpuncher than margarito.

The Mosley that fought Cotto has enough left to get a decision against Margarito in my opinion. He can't trade with him like he tried with Cotto though, he will have to go on his bike.

I think Margarito would outwork him to a decision.

Mosley's boxing skills are overrated, he's more of a "speedy slugger". He's at his best with the whole "power boxing" thing, in which he's being aggressive and trading.

At Shane's age, he has to conserve his energy more, which is why you see him clinching a lot more than he used to.

Despite being in the sport for so long, Margarito still seems pretty fresh physically and with a terrific workrate and variety of shots.

Mosley would certainly have his moments, but I don't think he'd have enough at this stage to beat Margarito.

Since when does Mosley have a better workrate than Margarito?

There's a reason he clinches more nowadays, then say, the late 90s or early 00s.

Older fighters can't throw as many shots and have to conserve their energy more.

Margarito would put the nail in the coffin of Shane Mosley's career. Shane doesn't have the reflexes, timing, or ring savvy anymore to stay dry in the rainstorm of punches that Margarito would drench him with. No stoppage. These guys would pound on each other for 12 rounds and Tony would score more, period. It would suck the last bit of ring life out of Mosley.

This is a straighforward call, brotha. I agree. Mosley is also allegedly vulnerable to bigger opponents. That couldn't help either.. No win for Shane.
