Gee the title seems to discredit Margarito a bit, Cintron basically fought the wrong fight for the sake of his own pride I think. Margarito just steamrolled him and took what he dished out imposing his will. Margs constitution is just way stronger than Cintrons.

I don't believe steward is a good trainer. He wasn't really giving him any specifc or good advice in the corner.
Cintron faught the wrong fight and i believe style wise Margo is all wrong for him.
Cintron should move up in weight. 154 would be a great division for him right about now.Comment

Gamache was wrong about something. Margarito isn't willing to take two to land one. He is willing to take two to land four. That's how he wears down his opponents until they can't stay with him anymore. Margarito's chin and tenacity are his calling cards.Comment

as i look at it, even if kermit stay away from margarito, still the mexican tornado will wear him down. margarito is one relentless fighter who keeps on throwing punches until it hits the target.
cintron also runs out of gas as margo peppered him with body punches. certainly, cintron is not in margo's class.Comment

That is a scary combination. The hardest chin EVER, equipped with pretty good punching power and the all-time compubox record for most punches thrown in a fight. I can now see why people were talking about avoidance when it comes to Margarito. He doesn't offer a lot financially or recognition-wise to casual fans, and fighting him would be a stressful night to say the least.Comment

I swear, as I was watching that fight at my girlfriend's family's house, my EXACT thoughts were: "Wow, you could hit him with a baseball bat and he wouldn't fall."
He took tremendous shots from Cintrón (wide looping shots), and he wasn't affected by them. Or at least, I expected him to wobble a little or something...he just kept coming forward.Comment

Cintron can't fight as well on the inside like Margarito can but he kept trying to. He was most effective when he was keeping Margarito on the outside with his jab. Marg was good at getting inside on him mainly because of his granite chin; he would just eat a shot or two, get inside and **** away.
Margarito is a huge WW! 160 on fight night.....Comment
