If Cintron had fought the way he did in the first round, he would have had a very good chance of maybe even stopping Margarito. He was staying on the outside and landing some flush bombs that would have eventually taken their toll. He can't fight on the inside a lick (like most of Steward's fighters) yet chose to do so later in the fight.
Who Had Cintron Beat?

Cintron doesnt use his legs well either, I think he has bad legs perhaps. He isnt good at backing up really and keeping distance, no head movement, just stand right in front maybe, doesnt use his legs to create angles, just not that good.Comment

I know his opponents up to David Reid, cause I remember us vs the Puerto Ricans was HOT during those times.
But Cintrons career was filled with propper opponents, he just kept knocking em out. And because of who he was facing, and the fasion he was ending those fights, Cintron litterally was on the mind of everyone. lol I still remember people sayin he was gonna wipe up Tony in the first fight.
I see alot of people new to Cintron now, askin, "who is this guy, and why the **** is he even being talked about." lol Cause he was beast. As for why he can't get by Tony, Marg is a complete different animal.Last edited by MaYaN_SuN; 04-14-2008, 07:04 AM.Comment

The reason Kermit traded with Tony on the inside was to try and fight with the beast instead of running away from it, nothing wrong with that in my opinion, I actually respect Cintron for at least trying his best to withstand the storm as long as he could, but in the end he took a huge beating by Tony. I guess he just wanted to prove everyone wrong by saying he is tough but in all honestly he just doesn't have big enough cojones to withstand that kind of pressure and I don't think he will ever have it, the way he kept looking at the referee and his corner for answers was not a good sign, it shows lack of confidence on himself. All in all it was a great fight and a great win for Tony.Comment

Yeah, plain and simple. I was starting to get my hopes high that Cintrón would pull through the way he fought the first round, and he fought well. That first round was Cintrón's...but he got lured in or got confident and started exchanging. If Cintron had fought the way he did in the first round, he would have had a very good chance of maybe even stopping Margarito. He claimed that shot took out the air from his lungs and he couldn't breathe. That body shot was almost identical to the one Hatton hit Castillo with on their fight. I saw Kermit moving around the ring after the fight maybe to catch up his breath? all I know is that **** must of hurt like a mother ****er.Comment
