Tell me if what I am saynig is a lie.

And tell me what part I am lying about.

Zab- Good name, past his prime, and already lost to Floyd, Baldy, Tzyu and Cory Spinks. They knew what happend when he fought Tzyu and Baldy and how he folds like a chair under pressure. But with the big name it makes Cotto look good.

Shane- Old, washed up. Fought and knocked out a guy that lost to Mayorga, in Vargas. Vargas was trashed when Mosely beat him and nearly lost the first fight. Then beats Luis Collazo that lost to Hatton, who Floyd beat. But with Shanes big name it makes Cotto look good to have a fighter who has history, sort of like Tyson vs Larry Holmes. In Holmes' prime he kills Tyson, but at the end when he was old and washed up, it was different.

Gomez- Slow, no power, no title, had a draw with Feliciano who got KO'ed by Cintron. But he is a popular fighter that didnt pose a big threat, with a big fan base. They did it because when Cotto beat him all of AG's fans will like Cotto. Very strategic on their part to get alot more fans to believe in his HYPE, so they can make one big bankable fight with Floyd.

Yes, you are lying. And Gomez is NOT an elite welterweight.

            Tell me if I'm lying:

Baldomir - old, over rated, fought an old gatti and a over hyped Zab.
10 losses on his record.. never did anything note worthy after those two fights.

Oscar De La Hoya - old, lost 3 of his last 5 fights, had a very hard time with sturm which everybody feels he lost.. if he did he would be at 4 losses out of 5. Has been mostly inactive fighting once every one or two years.

Hatton - Junior Welterweight, had problem with Collazo, biggest wins were against and old Tszyu and old Castillo.

The Mosley and Quintana wins were very good for Cotto. The Quintana win is better in retrospect, and Mosley despite his age, was a top-rated welterweight.

The Gomez win was just a stay-busy fight for Cotto.

Anyone who knows boxing could look at Mosley's performance against Cotto and see that he is still a real threat in the division. Use your eyes.
