Floyd Is Right and Cotto Will Be So Hyped!!!

This is how it will all play out. Some people are very hyped about the way Merchant said those comments about Floyd last night. However, they all forget the very last thing he said. He said that in the end he thinks Floyd will fight Cotto sometime next year. That is so true. How long have people been bad mouthing Floyd and how long have they wanted the Floyd-Cotto fight? Now think about Cotto looking impressive in killing Margarito and how huge that fight will be after Floyd beats Oscar. Im not guarabteeing that it will be right after that but either then or sometime next year it will happened and be a mega event. It will probally happened then because Cotto's star will be so big and the fight will make crazy money. Then everyone will say that Floyd was right for waiting it out.

Cotto is hyped up now and its been getting bigger every fight but the Margarito fight will put it through the roof. Twice as much as the Mosley fight. All you have to do is look at this board and listen to the media. Margarito is looked at as a GOD. The true fact is that Margarito is a monster who can destroy alot of guys but he's also a very flawed fighter. He will always look good against a guy like Cintron but he'll never beat Cotto. All people need to do is remember the Clottey fight. Thats exactly how this fight will be except it will last for 12 rounds. Clottey was picking Margarito apart with those combos and quick punches down the pipe. Cotto will do the same exact thing. No doubt Margarito will land and keep coming because he is a warrior but him & Cotto are on 2 different levels when it comes to flat out skill and thats what will always win out. Margarito thrives off of imposing his will on cats but Cotto is not mentally soft like Cintron.

Margarito will have his moments but in the end, Cotto's flat out boxing skill will carve him up like a turkey. If Clottey did it for 4 rounds then Cotto will do it for 8 at the least. The differnce is that Cotto will be seen as the biggest star in the world after that. You know people on here and in the media will go crazy if Cotto wins like that even though its so predictable. Cotto might have a minor tuneup against a soft bum in late October then a Floyd fight in late March. Floyd will expose all of Cotto's flaws and thats when he will finally get his just due credit from everyone on this board and in the media. They will have hyped up Cotto so much that a Floyd win over him will be seen as a super win that will seal his legacy as a ATG

Good post. I'm a fan of Floyd and have refused to convert to a hater cuz for the moment I believe he is just milkin anotha easy payday while he waits for the Cotto fight to be as big as it can possibly be. But he's out of slack once Cotto-Tony is over with.

Good post. I think thats more or less how it will pan out. I'm not as sure as you are that Cotto beats Margarito, but I think he probably will. You're right about Floyd getting respect if he beats Cotto too.

Pitty Patter ,,,, with 25 KOs in 39 this is really a blind ****** statement ,,, two of the biggest punchers in boxing have hardly any better KO percentage than Floyd with Cotto 26 KOs in 32 and Margo 26 in 36 .
