  • It wasn't the same Cintron and It wasnt the same Margarito, Emmanuel Stewart did good

It is clear that this was a much more focused, better prepared, both mentally and physically Cintron. Margarito was also much more aggressive and relaxed than he was in the first fight. Yeah Cintron lost again but this time he actually held his own a few times against a Margarito was inflicting much more damage than in their first.

I don't normally commend Stewart for his work, but I gotta say this time he did good. If it wasn't because of him Cintron would have been done in the first round.

Hell no, mentally he was more stable, but Steward had a **** plan...then attempted to even change plans mid fight

Just like Cintron's last fight with Feliciano

In the gym, Steward must not teach his fighters how to think and adapt in the ring

Steward had no game plan whatsoever.

Why do people keep commending Cintron? They say, "He did better!"

Well, how can you do any worse than he did in 2005? ANYTHING is an improvement lol

Cintron seems more focus on this fight. Margarito is just the better fighter. Steward keep saying to Cintron to go forward but it wasn't working. Cintron was doing good with the jab but he always get on the inside where Margarito punishes him.

Their should have not been a rematch in the first place anyway. If Margarito is to rematch with anybody, its either Clottey or Paul Williams.

The HBO was hyping Margarito's win over Golden Johnson. Just the height alone would win it for Margarito.

Cotto vs Margarito is next. Both have power. Cotto has speed which suprise me in his fight with Mosley. Margarito has the height advantage.

i think the thing people should start realizing is that trainers in general are overrated...... steward, mcgirt, roach... theyre all good at what they do. but they cant make a champion out of just anyone and they cant fight the fights themselves.

i dont think its a bad sign when a trainers fighters lose, in mannys case people should realize that at least he puts his fighters in tough fights that the fans want to see.

steward needs to teach his fighters how to hold on the inside, instead of taking a pounding and just holding your left glove up to your face and shoulder blocking. margarito went to ****ing town on the inside. cintron started every round jabbing from the outside and was doing well that way, but by the second minute of every round margarito was up in his ass with uppercuts and body shots doubling cintron over. cintron thought he would bomb tony out of there and he so did steward. rediculous game plan against tony.

I agree completely. Some trainers however, specifically Buddy McGirt, give redundant advice to their fighters even when something isn't working.

Steward generally tells his fighters what they need to do to have a chance. He tells Jermain Taylor to punch over Cory Spinks, to let his hands go and Taylor doesn't listen. Taylor listens to him and Spinks is outta there inside of 8 rounds.

He tells Cintron to BOX, but Cintron is seemingly inept when it comes to moving around the ring and using his jab. We all saw the result. This advice came after Steward rightfully told him to just keep dropping the right hand down the middle. Cintron got away from that and let Margarito walk right over him. Lennox Lewis was a bright guy and clinched quite well, but Cintron seems to lack the intelligence to do that and instead he bends over at the waist with that ****** half-guard. He deserved to get hit in the back of the head.

I think Steward did a fine job last night. Cintron lost the fight. Margarito is a truck and is just about the last guy Cintron should have been in the ring with. It's that simple.

Do you think it was Steward that instructed Cintron to handle himself on the inside that way? I don't think it was. I think that is Cintrons inability to deal with pressure. He did the same **** in the first fight. He got all sloppy and bent over and flailed about the ring with no answer.

Dude are ****in serious, how did he do good. Manny told him to move Margs back and FIGHT him, then 2 rounds later he was telling Cintron to BOX, BOX, BOX. What the ****? Those are 2 polar opposites. Which one is it? Come on man, how are you gonna say go at MArgs, thats what he like to do. He said Margs was slowing down??!!!!STFU. Manny is the most OVER RATED trainer of all time. He had a few good champions, but that's because the had the ability. It's like Phil Jackson, yeah he had 6 rings but he got those because of Michael Jordan. He might have had 1 or 2 but with MJ it makes you look that much better. It's like LeBron with his sorry ass coach right now. The coach sucks, but LeBron makes him that much better. Thomas Hearns and Lennox Lewis are like the MJ & LeBron, and Manny is like the coach thats looks better than he is because of his players.
