Whenever an undefeated title holder gets a win they compare him with guys who should've even be compared to. RJJ is someone who can't be compared to with these young guys because he's accomplished so much in his career
I have to say this

I cant see Dawson beating anyone meaningful. Tarver I think would beat him.
And who the hell called Dawson the next Roy Jones?! someone related to him?

I think Tarver was lucky to be in with the right kind of opponent, one who let him set the pace. Tarver's legs look very old to me and I think Dawson will expose that if he gets the chance.Comment

I was actually impressed with Dawson last night. I thought the scores were bad, but this was the same Glen Johnson who KTFO Roy Jones and beat Antonio Tarver down. Dawson fought him even for 12 rounds in a fight of the year (not involving a Marquez brother) type fight.
Glen Johnson is definitely the hard luck fighter of the decade, but it wasn't like this was Chavez-Whitaker or Lewis-Holyfield. It was the type of fight that could've gone either way. Tarver surprised me by how well he fought. I still think Dawson beats him, but I give Tarver more of a chance than I did before last night.
I don't think Dawson is the next Roy Jones. Andre Ward is the future. Dawson and Pavlik are just holding the crown for right now until Ward is ready to take over.Comment
