Actually, I think it's kinda cool when guys know their fighter has little chance, yet root their hearts out for him anyways. That's a fan.

Kind of like the Chicago Cubs. Haven't won in 100 years and the stadium is packed for every game ....
cheers man. Does anyone know what the rules are for scoring even rounds? Do some fights allow them and some not? Never been too clear on this.

ah right I get ya. Yeah if a rounds close I dont like to go in favour of one person, I dont find it fair, unless of course one fighter did something memorable or exceptional to steal it.

I notice ur Jamaican, how did you score the Johnson fight?

i score even rds especially when both fighters both had their special moments and also when niether fighter did anything because when u just give a close rd to a fighter of ur choosing when the end result get gathered in the end and ppl have different scoring u hear cries of robbery, when if they just scored it an even rd almost everyone card would look similar, the dawson johnson fight never got to watch dont have subscription to shotime nowadays

yeah you're right, how I feel about it too.

It was a good fight, if you were judging the fight on heart and unbreakable will, Johnson won. But on boxing, good defense, good footwork (even if the crowd doesnt like it) dawson won.

I was surprised Glen thought he had won it to be honest. Ive never seen him react so surprised to a verdict. I know a lot of people felt he won, but I'm talking about the man himself, surprised he built himself up for his name being read out.

yes so it is glen must have been hurting him and backing him up so he probably thought he did enough.

Some fights are 10 point must system dpeneding on the rules of that states athletic commission and/or the sanctioning organization, but if a round is even, call it even.
They did that in the old days where you'd have Ali winning 9-4-2 rounds even.

"If the judge decides that neither fighter won a round then he or she will score it 10 points to each fighter"

I noticed in the last 2 Irish fights I saw, the referee was the sole arbiter.
In America, there would be huge complaints if this was done on a regular basis.

thanks man. Yeah I dont agree with the referee thing. They do that in some U.K fights too. It doesnt happen though if its for an area title of any kind or higher tho.
