He was almost acting like Floyd in the ring. I think he just knew that he was leagues above Gomez.

Floyd doesn't even act that Flashy in the ring. That was Cotto's programming getting a showboat feature. Oh yeah for future reference the word is apparent, just to help you out in case you ever have to write an essay or something and you use said word.

He was showboating and toying with Gomez. I've never really seen him act that way in the ring.

Even in the first round it was operant that Gomez was in over his head. I'd only seen him fight Gatti so I didn't really know anything about his skill level but he was completely out classed.

I kind of feel bad for Gomez but he never gave up and did his best and will be getting a nice check out of the deal.

Cotto has done that in the past. He's a badass.

I don't see a problem Cotto doing that.. As long as his fighting Margarito, fought Mosley, Quintana and some of it..

Cotto was majestic last nite, near perfect! Id like to have seen a clean cut Knockout but i dont blame them for pulling Gomez out. It seemed Cotto plain didnt like Gomez, he ****in Tortured him in there instead of taking him out! He never touched gloves wit him after a slight low blow from Gomez he just shrugged his arm in a **** off manner! And gave him that look of pure disgusted at the end of the 1st. Any 1 know what the deal was with that? Anyway his performance was ace, he jab was precise and Thudding, he dropped a fighter who had been in with super middle weight title challenger Manfredo and had never been down in his career with it, a ****in jab! His body work was in affect as evident by the 1st 2 KD's and he was as calm and relaxed as ive ever seen a fighter. Good stuff, he fought like he used to on the way up before he got in with name oppenents.
Did he hurt his right hand by the way? He winced once or twice after throwing it i think and i know he always goes southpaw but did so more here i thought.

Margarito wont be so easy # Animal!!! His chin has to be thge best in the game right? Or Damn near it! What worrys me is i doubt Cotto can seriously hurt him if Cintron couldnt and he throws the uppercut so so well and thats a punch Miguel dont block well, id still back Miguel Cotto to win tho!
