Margarito was very impressive tonight. He overcame Cintron's power punching and basically decimated him one punch at a time....

              Margarito's.

But this isn't a knock against Cotto. He was great but no one realistically expected that fight to be close.

You know.. There was a time when this kid Cotto was being written off by his network, HBO. It's a shame he's been so essentially overrated going into his last few fights. Only the very dedicated observers have been able to notice the outrageously, shocking, dramatic change in explosiveness, power, and mobility from now, until just a few fights ago.. This guy is not the same guy who was lumbering around against a similarly pedestrian Oktay Urkal, tonight against Alfonso Gomez. Not-at-all.

Margarito on the other hand punched his timeclock and went to work as usual. Now that, that was to be expected.
