I really thought Cintron would smarten up since training with Manny and would box Marg, but instead he thought it was a good idea to try to fight him on the inside. The strategy he went into this fight with was foolish and Manny should have drilled it into him not to fight like that.

Cotto was impressive tonight, I actually thought Gomez would put up a fight and possibly go the distance....Boy was I wrong...Cotto destroyed Gomez Bigtime.

Margarito did what I predicted he would do...He is Cintron's worst nightmare and he knocked him out again.

That's because Cotto is now at this point a far more explosive and dynamic body than anyone on planet Earth actually, literally, realistically could have realized at any point before this precise moment in time. Not unless Miguel was deliberately going at 40% in previous fights just to surprise the **** out of poor little Alfonso Gomez..

oh, and BTW.. Cotto could have ended that on 1 or 2 rounds if he felt like it. He was ****ing around and enjoying the moment. I've seen other fighters doing the same thing, but very rarely.. He was taking it all in, realizing his unlimited power and control. Like Cotto said in his recent interview; it's the power of his mind. This is some other **** he's on. He's going to a different place now, a higher level.

Cintron can never beat a fighter like Margarito, that much is certain.

Cotto on the other hand...I didnt expect dominace on that level. That was an ass whooping if I've ever seen one. He had crazy swagger, could do anything he wanted to.

His jab is becoming Quartey-esque. It's a more effective weapon than his left to the body imo.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I think Manny is a horrible trainer. He has had some good fighters but how much of that is his doing? I've seen a lot of his fighters loose lately. And Cintron completely did the wrong thing to try to win this fight. They should have known that Marg was going to try to overwelm him, instead they thought they'd go in there and brawl and knock him out. Horrible choice. Second when Cintron would start getting hit he would put his head down on the wrong side and just eat right hands. Looks like he had no idea how to defend himself. What has Manny been teaching him? Looks like he had no idea how to tie up to stop marg from overwhelming him. I'm not saying cintron would have won anyways, but if he had boxed and tried to stay on the outside and not trade with Marg it would have been a better fight.

im sorry there wasnt more heart shown by cintron he was the exactly same if not worse for not overcoming the mental blocks that impeded him the first time round. i really dont think cintron is that great a fighter despite his punching power cos as shown last night if he fights some1 who can take a blow he's lost

I dont think he really folded tonight. He just cant beat Margarito, plain and simple. And to say he gave up, that was a brutal body shot. He didnt take a knee, that body shot put him down.

i predict a TKO 9-11 for cotto against margarito, i expect him to wobble cotto several times but cotto will hurt marg to the body and take some gas out of him and eventually pressure marg so much and start landing some big shots upstairs he will persuade the ref to step in and stop the fight, i dont see marg going down as he has a good chin but i expect him to be eating consecutive clean shots that will make the ref step in, just my thoughts though

there are a couple of fighters cintron can beat and margo wasn't one of them.anybody who saw that fight saw cintron an a puncher c classs boxer at best.and the cotto gomez fight was just a sabbatical fight from a tough 07.
