Mr. Pudwill was a late replacement. He lasted 2 rounds with Zaghe.

Everyone has a few nobodies on their resume, including Hopkins. The sun does not shine out of his ass. The same year Calzaghe fought Pudwill, Hopkins fought Carl Daniels, a little 5'9" guy with 12 losses on his record. The following year, Morrade Hakkar. care to tell us who Hakkar fought, why he deserved a shot at Hopkins, and why he's a better opponent than Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy, Chris Eubank, Robin Reid, etc?

There are around three hundred and five million people in the United States.

There are around one hundred and ten million people in Mexico.

In the whole of the United Kingdom put together there are just 60 million people.

Im not saying hopkins is an angel, he fought robert allen 3 times.

But he still found the time to actually fight some of the best of his generation

Calzaghe has fought about 3/4 "world class" fighters in 10 years, none of them in the league of the big names Hopkins got in the ring with.

People cant dismiss who hopkins fought because of their weight, De la hoya at 160 is a better boxer than Tocker Pudwill and Kabery Salem all day every day.

I'm no Hopkins fan but anyone can Boxrec a fighter like you did & downplay the win. If you actually knew who Carl Daniels was you'd know he was a good fighter & he didn't have that many loses when Hopkins fought him. I know he lost to Terry Norris (A hall of fame fighter) & Julio Cesar Vazquez (former world champ). Vazquez actually beat Winky pretty easily & had him on the canvas a few times in that fight.

The fact that Hopkins, after 6 1/2 years as champ and 13 title defences was a 6 to 1 underdog against WW Trinidad, is a testament to how pathetic his opposition was until that point. After beating a couple of smaller fighters later, he's supposed to be some kind of legend? The Tarver win was a good one, but the weight drain issues were obvious.

Eubank and Reid are the biggest names.

WTF? I don't need to BoxRec that info, I am enough of a fan of Hopkins to know who he was fighting at the time. I know very well who Carl Daniels is. Calzaghe's wins over Eubank and Reid are better than Hops' wins over Daniels and Hakkar.

Exactly, eubanks was past it and took the fight on short notice i think.

Reid was never a superstar and calzaghe won by SD.
