Where does Gomez go from here?

I feel that he was just everwelmed tonight but a higher class opponent. I am not saying Gomez will never get to that level but he is still very green.

I think that he should enjoy the payday and take some time off, stay fit, but go on holiday or somthing.

As far as next fight does I personally have a few ideas to re-build himself.

If Jesse Feliciano wins on the 25, I would love to see Gomez-Feliciano IV
Gomez had the near exact same result as Quintana did against Cotto, why dont those two hook up?
Also, when Margarito-Cotto comes together, I would also love to see Gomez-Cintron on the undercard.

What are all of your thoughts on it. I feel he is far from finished, and he has a lot more to do in the sport of boxing. What other matchups to rebuild himself would you people think of?

I think he is finished and brain damaged.

He took bombs to his head and body from Cotto, I feel the fight should have been stopped sooner when it was clear how out matched he was.

To the hospital for his face and body and to a lawyer to sue his manager for making him fight Cotto.

he wasnt that good to begin wit, he should go to were he should be...not fightin title fights. its obvious he hada faulse confidence after beatin a old, extremely past prime, undersized Gatti. i dont kno y he would agree to fight tha 2nd best, if not tha best welterweight in tha world..

If I know Bob Arum, he'll get Gomez an easy win, then put him against JCC Jr. in one of his minor PPV's. Now that he is beaten up Arum will figure he is an ideal name opponent for the kid.

I think he'll be a good measuring stick type of fighter for up and coming fighters, I think that's about it. Sad to say because he's a very nice guy.

Gomez is a mid-level gatekeeper. Harsh truth.

Thats how I see it too. But you never know, losing to Cotto seems to be kinda lucky nowadays. Seems like if you lose to Cotto you end up winning a belt, LOL.....Malignagi, Torres, Quintana....**** I heard Cotto got in a domestic altercation with his wife and she holds the Womens WBC belt now.
