This is 140 pounder Devon Alexander training before his biggest fight against Chop Chop. Devon has looked very impressive and could have stopped Corley. He had him hurt plenty of times. Devon is Don King's best young prospect. The kid had a great Amauter career (winning numerous nat'l titles) and his professional career looks promising as well (15-0). G.Leon believes that Alexander as the best prospect in the sport.
He actually was one of Mayweather's main sparring partners when Mayweather prepared for his fight with Zab Judah. He has also gotten alot of experience in training because his is trained by Kevin Cunningham, Spinks' old trainer. In his last fight which was here in St.Louis a couple of weeks ago, he got more respect/love from the St. Louis fans than Cory did. St. Louis has backed Devon since he was a little boy boxing and it looks like he will be the next Champion from Tha Lou.
NEXT FIGHT: Editor: After beating two former world champions in your last two fights, where do you go from here?
DA: "I talked to my coach today and he likes a fight with me and Julio Diaz. He thinks that would be a good fight for me. I'm going to be ready for all of my fights, no matter who it is and I ain't taking nobody for granted. I'm leaving the opponents to Kevin and Don King, I'm going to tran hard and beat whoever they put in front of me."
