    IF Dawson wins tonight...

...does he make it into the P4P debate?

I think Juan Diaz entered that debate when he beat Freitas. Cotto entered that debate when he beat Judah and Pavlik entered that debate when he beat Taylor the first time. So, with the changing of the guard in full swing, would a win over Glen Johnson get his name in the swing too or might he still have some work to do?

Not quite. A win over Glen should get him mad respect but of course there are ****** people who'll say Glen was too old and the win meant nothing.

I think he would need some more work. People would just say the Johnson was over the hill.

NO....Beating a 39 year old, past his prime fighter with 11 losses does not put Dawson in the p4p rankings.

          I'd say no, not yet.

Everybody in the pfp top 10, I am going by the Ring Magazine rankings,
          has fought better competition.

Johnson will be his toughest task, and he will be very close, but there's still more business to be done at light heavyweight for him to get in there.

Just for purposes of clarification, I think it get him into the top 20. He'd have wins over Eric Harding, Paul Briggs and Glen Johnson. Plus he'd have three defenses of his title. Couple that with his skill proficiency and the aging of the traditional P4P elite and I think he makes the discussion.

Well, I didn't say top 10. I was thinking more along the lines of the top 15 or even 20.

Nope. As someone said before his average opponent is 14-7. He needs another big win after this one.

                    Yeah, hecould be there sure.

Dawson fought Briggs someone said...that's news to me.

Adamek fought Briggs twice, but Dawson didn't.
