If I had to go with one, it'd be Dawson, but it's not an easy call.

i'm going with dawson (and put a really low priced amount bet on him...$20) but i wouldnt up my bet to $200...

i wouldnt bet a high amount of money on any of this weekend's fights.

margarito v. cintron is real close (this was the fight that took the longest for me to pick a winner)

dawson v. johnson is going to be a tough fight and whoever wins deserves it.

cotto v. gomez i dont suspect to be close but since 2008 has so far been the year of the comebacks and underdogs im not really excited or contemplative of putting down a large bet especially when cotto is such a HUGE favorite...you have to bet $1000 to win $100...thats really terrible odds...

so even to make $10 you have to bet $100...

and given how the underdogs have shined this year putting $100 down is risky...even though given natural talent and level of skill cotto SHOULD absolutely walk through gomez within 8 rounds easily; you never know.

so i'd wait for more of a sure thing comes around (not that there is such a thing as a sure thing but you know what i mean) with better odds (cotto is basically a sure thing but the odds are so wacked out its not worth the risk in 08).

play it safe is my opinion.

my last big bet was on Pacquiao and it was a nail bitter even though i won.

Chad should definitely win. He was able to avoid the pressure and power of Adamek, stick and move all night. I didn't think he'd be able to, and picked Adamek. And when Chad did get caught and hurt, he recovered pretty quick, didn't get rattled too badly, and fought smart for the win. That was his big test. I don't think Johnson can test him even that much. As long as Dawson listens to his corner again, he should win easily. He's far more skilled than Johnson, seems to be able to keep to a gameplan well, recover from being hurt well, and use that jab of his like a champ. It all equals a win for Chad.
