Tarver back to where he was?

If Tarver can manage to get a win over Woods, can he still be the star that beat greats like RJJ and rise to the ranks or does he not have a chance anymore?

No, people will come up with the excuse that Woods was shot, not ready, etc, Tarver is just one of those guys that fnas never really appreciate.

Well Woods is 35 and IBF champ so he's as ready as he can be. If Tarver wins he gets my full respect. I'm just not sure how he would do against someone like Dawson at his age.

A win over Woods would be good for him, but there are so many good fighters at 175. I think it's going to be something along the lines of Tarver was pretty good and had Roy Jones' number, but never really was a great fighter. That's kind of how I view him.

I wouldn't say that he'd be back to his former greatness, but a win from him should get him a shot at the winner of the Hop/Cal or Chad/Glen

I dunno. It's hard to say. I don't wanna jump the gun, and say that he will be. I'd like him to be, but something tells me that his best days are behind him.

                  Gotta watch Rocky again...hahah...

With the general fitness level, fighters are still going into their later years, and winning with the addition of their experience. Tarver may have a few left.

If he wins it will be a big push but also how much farther can he go with the division being a real challenge for him
