I think a hatton rematch is pointless.
I mean floyd DID knock him out first time around AND basically outclassed him at every turn UNTIL he knocked him out.
Floyd proved his dominance over hatton and i dont think having the rematch in england with a different ref or even ring size/glove size will make a difference for hatton so extreme that he would actually win.
For De La Hoya I can make an arguement there. Floyd has never been that close to losing a fight in his entire professional career. infact; if im remembering right floyd mayweather jr has never even been in a fight where there was a split decision what-so-ever.
So i can DEFINATELY understand why the rematch is happening...oscar fought him pretty decently especially considering his age.
This time oscar has floyd sr. in his corner (who he is used to working with...AND who knows floyd the best). i think that will strongly favor oscar.
I think floyd sr is the big key for oscar to actually win.
he came real close last time. just how close?
if one of the judges (dont remember who) would have given oscar the 12th round on his scorecard (like the other 2 judges did) then we'd be talking about this fight more positively...it would have made it a draw. THATS how close oscar was.
So i have no problems with this fight.
the only thing i think most are complaining about is that the timing for this fight is off because many (including myself) want to see cotto v. mayweather.
but this is the next best fight right now.
its better than floyd saying he wants to fight mayorga at 154 right?
or rematch zab judah?
or say he thinks he should fight collazo right?Comment

He needs to fight Zoolander, **** the bull****.
In fact, I'd drop him to #7 if he fights Hatton:
1.MANNY PACQUIAO
2.Bernard Hopkins/Calzaghe (dending on who wins)
3.Calzaghe/Hopkins (dending on who wins)
4.Cotto (if he beats Gomez/Margarito)
5.MARQUEZ
6.VAZQUEZ
7.Mayweather
8.PAVLIK
9.Rafael MARQUEZLast edited by ИATAS; 04-11-2008, 01:11 PM.Comment

I agree with most of what yo said but I don't think DLH was that close as the scorecards make it seems like. He won 4 ronds at the most!I think a hatton rematch is pointless.

Sorry but your wrong buddy, actually Floyd has been closer to losing a fight(did lose a fight in many, many peoples eyes) in his first bout with Castillo.I think a hatton rematch is pointless.
