Cotto: "I Have Alot To Lose"

I think as Miguel has grown in popularity his persona has grown. He's become a more compelling character. It turns out he's an intimate and engaging personality. I think that explains why he seemed more distant in the beginning. I can appreciate why he kept his distance. He didn't want to waste his time or ours. Now that it seems like he's going to be around for awhile in his own mind, I think he's given into the fact that he should commit to his relationship with us and the sport.

Like he said; he took this fight because of Top Rank. Like I said awhile back; if anything goes wrong all that hype and kudos about their matchmaking goes right out the window.. I know nobody is worried, but I still say the Mosley rematch would have been the best business decision.. Too bad Shane ****ed that up by not saying ****.

Shane gave some statements, but they were somewhat contradictory. One day he would say Cotto was a "young lion on his way to greatness", and the other he would say "a lot of people think I won the fight".

Yep, that wasn't class. Shane stayed silent for months after the fight with Cotto. The first we heard about a rematch was from Cotto himself. Miguel Cotto said he would fight Shane again.. After Cotto committed to Gomez then Mosley started talking about the rematch.

          LOL

You should make a video about that. Gore, Cotto, Robocop and Terminator.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the first time Mosley did something like that.

Could be I'm not sure.. But the way Shane fought against Cotto back in November I'm not surprised. Something's not right with Shane, he looked like ass in that fight. I wish I could make those little youtube vids because I could create a lengthy extended clip of him flailing and clutching.. He was pawing and moving extremely slow and helpless at different points. Shane is starting to unravel. Now he's talking about how Cotto is ducking him for the rematch. Now he's talking ****.

Cotto has distanced himself from typical puertorican fighter by being himself, learning to speak english and not yelling Puerto Rico every five seconds. He is the total opposite of Trinidad and has come into his own with the puertorican fans.

His all action less talk approach is refreshing in a boxing scene full of clowns. Cotto is always focused, prepared and has eyes set on the prize. I feel sorry for anyone who steps in his way.

I think both statements are accurate though...

Almost 20 minute extended interview with Cotto added to the top of the thread. He's looking a little stiff here, but this is formal, and not his favorite situation from what we know..

                    (edit)

Gotta admire the kid for giving his best with his still improving english. Much better than my spanish, no doubt.
