Like I done said before, this was a brilliant business move by PBF. He knew he had to go to Gatti's hometown and EMBARRASSSSS Gatti in an EXCITING fashion to get the spot light on him. He played it beautifully.

Of course Gatti was the draw. Gatti played on the NY-NJ thing even though he is Canadian, so he had a great fan base in that area, and an ethnic fan base as well.
After that vicious beatdown, Gatti's fans realized that the brawling bloody style only goes with other bloody courageous brawlers.

A good lesson was learned that night. Remember Cotto in the crowd. He had a look of shock on his face ( or maybe he just always looks like that)

Casual fans really loved Gatti-Ward. It was good for the sport.

            Gatti.
            Atlantic City - Gatti's backyard.
Gatti was the more recognized fighter @ the time.

Cotto always has the "****, I'm peeing a kidney stone" look on his face.

i just like to see what the majority thinks cuz it always seems to contrast with the mentality or perception of those who follow floyd very intimately.

Gatti was obviously the draw, but the fact that Floyd was regarded as the best fighter in the world at that time (well, at least close behind Hopkins before he lost to Taylor) that sure as hell made the fight big.

Gatti's style and Floyd's stance made the fight huge.
